I am Lisa Hazell
Dedicated to inspiring and motivating forward-thinking family historians, like yourself, to avoid leaving family history unknown as well as building and keeping alive family history that unite generations.
I am the founder of Paperdoll Ancestry. My work is deeply informed by communication and oral history theory and practice, and I specialize in holding space for, reclaiming and promoting Black life, community and family histories through the arts.
I have spent more than two decades researching historical records and photographs and almost three decades collaborating with feature film directors, cinematographers, costume designers and actors in telling visual stories.
